About the role
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our care team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to patients and service users, assisting with daily living activities and promoting their dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
Note that this position is not directly with Careegrow. We are recruiting on behalf of one of our client companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support patients with mobility and transferring safely.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure where appropriate.
- Assist patients with eating and drinking, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns to senior staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and residents.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
- Assist nursing and healthcare professionals with patient care activities.
- Adhere to safeguarding, confidentiality, and health and safety policies.
Requirements
- Caring, compassionate, and patient-focused approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays when required.
- Right to work in the UK.
